The European Indoor Athletics Championships Results

 

The European Indoor Athletics Championships is an event organized by the European Athletic Association. The event has been organized for the first time in 1970 in Vienna, replacing the European Indoor Games which had been held since 1966. The championships was organised every year until 1990, when it was changed to a biennial event, because IAAF introduced the world indoor athletics championships. After the 2002 edition, it lasted 3 years until the Championships was held again. This was done in order to synchronize the event with the world indoor athletics championships once more.
